Library Card                                

With a library card, you will be able to:

• Check out books, videos, CDs, DVDs & more at Tomball College and Willow Chase

• Check out items at any NHMCCD library and any branch of the  Harris County and Montgomery County public library systems

• Access  items that  instructors have put on reserve

• Use the barcode number to access over 70 online databases from home or work

• Borrow a laptop to use in the library

• Request items from other libraries

• Renew items via the online catalog

• Add money to the photo/ID card and use it as a copy/print card

Ways to obtain a library card:

1. Tomball College photo ID/library cards are made for Tomball and Willow Chase students, faculty and staff at the 2nd floor library circulation desk. You must show a driver's license or other picture ID.

2. Library cards (non-photo) are also issued at the Willow Chase Center Learning Assistance Center.

3. College faculty and students may also apply for a library card online (non-photo) and pick up the card at any NHMCCD libraries or have it delivered by mail. It may take up to two weeks to get the card by mail.

It is important to notify the circulation staff of any address/phone changes or lost/stolen cards, 832-559-4206. Borrowers are responsible for all materials checked out on their cards. TexShare Card

A TexShare card allows you to borrow materials directly from other college, university, and public libraries that are members of the TexShare program. College faculty and students can apply for a TexShare card online or in person. Materials borrowed from a Texshare library must be returned directly to the library by the patron. Public Library Card

Library cards issued by Tomball College may also be used to check out materials at any Harris County Public Library or Montgomery County Memorial Library System location. If you are not a current NHMCCD student, faculty, or staff, you may obtain a Harris County Public Library card at the circulation desk on either floor.
